Vir Das welcomes Will Smith to India with a joke: He can learn to start slapping comedians with legal cases | Hindi Movie News

Stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das, who is quite active on social media, has reacted to Will Smith’s recent visit to India. On Saturday, Will Smith was spotted at Mumbai’s private airport. He recently made headlines after he slapped comedian Chris Rock on the Academy Awards stage last month for making a joke about his wife Jade Pinkett Smith.

Vir took to Instagram and welcomed Will in a funny way. In his post, the Vir joked that he will learn to slap comedians with legal cases, instead of his hands. Vir indirectly hinted at the legal cases made against him after his controversial ‘I come from two Indias’ performance.

Vir’s post read, “Will Smith is in India? Good. He can learn to stop slapping comedians with his hands and start slapping them with legal cases.” He shared the note with a caption that read, “Welcome welcome.” Have a look:

Soon after he shared the post, netizens started dropping comments on it. One of the users wrote, “Common Vir, let’s not assume. Maybe he wants to star in Student of the year 3 (after filming a video with the cast of SOTY 2) lol.” Another user wrote, “Maybe he’s in India to give training to people on how to deal with comedians who make inappropriate jokes.”

Meanwhile, Will Smith has been banned from attending Academy Awards for 10 years.
