Urvashi Rautela spoke about getting many marriage proposals in a new interview. When asked if she ever received an awkward proposal, the actor said, she was once proposed to by an Egyptian singer. Urvashi, said she had to say no to him because of ‘cultural difference’. She added he was already married and had two wives and four children. Urvashi, made her acting debut with the 2013 romantic comedy Singh Saab The Great. The film also starred Sunny Deol and Amrita Rao. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about her personal life. She said she had dealt with ‘many proposals’, one of which came from an international singer she met in Dubai.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor spoke about a man, who had proposed to her, and said, “I have dealt with so many proposals. But there was one which came from someone, which could have led to a lot of cultural differences. One has to think about their family, especially women have to think of that in their life as it is not easy.”
When asked if that person was an Egyptian singer that Urvashi had met in Dubai, the actor, “Yes, but that person already has two wives and four children. I did not want to take such a decision, where I have to go and live so far, or he has to live here.” While Urvashi did not name the Egyptian singer, who allegedly proposed to her, a fan commented on the video of her interview shared on Instagram, and wrote, “Mohamed Ramadan.”
Urvashi made her international debut in the music video Versace Baby with Egyptian actor-singer Mohamed Ramadan. In the video, which had released in 2021, Urvashi was styled by renowned fashion designer Donatella Versace. It was reportedly one of the most expensive music videos last year, and Urvashi’s outfits alone cost a whopping ₹15 crores, as per a DNA India report from May 2021.
Urvashi recently attended the IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi, and walked the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival 2022 in May. Earlier in July, she attended the launch of her film, The Legend, in Chennai. Urvashi will be reportedly be seen in the web series Inspector Avinash alongside actor Randeep Hooda. She also has the bilingual film Black Rose, based on Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice, as well as the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Thiruttu Payale 2.
