Taking a dig at those making memes and posting nasty jokes about the much-in-love couple, Shawl took to his Instagram stories to say, “Kisi pe hasne se agar tumhein sukoon mil jaye, toh hass lena!! Kyuki pareshaan vo nahi, tum ho!!”
The hunk went on to share some words of advice with the hashtag “#SpreadLoveNotHate.”
In a statement to a news portal, Rohman said, ‘Let’s be happy for them na. Love is beautiful.’ He further added that if Sushmita chose someone, then that person is worth it.
Rohman’s post comes shortly after rumours spread that the actress was in a secret relationship with Modi since 2013. Old tweets between Sushmita and Lalit resurfaced online, with many guessing that the couple had been dating under the radar.
However, ETimes exclusively rubbished the claims and confirmed that Modi and Sen’s affair was a recent development and it didn’t spark off until she ended her long-term romance with Shawl.
In December 2021, Sushmita confirmed her breakup with the hunk in a post that read, “We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains!!”
Sushmita and Rohman dated for around three years before they pulled the plug on their romance.
Over the past months, rumours of a possible reconciliation began doing the rounds after Rohman was seen with Sush at a couple of parties and even seen hanging around with her two daughters.
Lalit was previously married to Minal Sagrani with who he shares two children. The couple wed in October 1991. Sadly, Minal passed away after losing her battle with cancer in 2018.
