In an interview with a news portal, Neetu revealed that she would always be busy when her husband was alive, whether with his travels or even at home. However, after he passed away, his children Ranbir and Riddhima wanted her to do something and not sit idle at home. It was at this time that Karan Johar offered her a role in the Raj Mehta directorial. The actress stated that as soon as she heard the script, she was on board for the film.
Talking about the challenges of facing the camera after about almost a decade, Neetu added that her confidence was zero after she started shooting for the film post the demise of Rishi Kapoor. Even though she gathered a lot of courage to get into her skin, the veteran actress would often be scared that she would fumble and something would go wrong. Neetu admitted she was very unsure about everything.
The actress concluded by adding that getting back to work helped her come out of her depression and that shooting for ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ has been a cathartic experience for her.
