British TV actress Josephine Tewson has died on the age of 91, her agent has mentioned.
Tewson was best-known for her roles as Elizabeth Warden in Conserving Up Appearances and Miss Davenport in Final Of The Summer season Wine.
She died on Thursday night time at Denville Corridor, a retirement residence for actors in Northwood, northeast London.
Paying tribute to the star, Carol Challis, who was married to the late actor John Challis, mentioned: “Farewell to Josephine Tewson. John liked working together with her on Final of the Summer season Wine. One other one gone.”
Former EastEnders actress Debbie Arnold remembered the “comedy nice”, saying she “adored” her.
