Amber Heard must pay Johnny Depp $10.35m, judge officially rules | bishop news

Amber Heard must officially pay Johnny Depp $10.35m (PS8.43m) to restore his image following the hearing in which the judge of the defamation trial issued an order in writing.

On Friday on Friday, Judge Penney Azcarate made the jury’s decision official by incorporating an order of judgment into the court’s record following an hour-long session in Virginia.

The jury decided in favor of Depp on his three claims related to specific statements made in the film and determined that Depp should receive $10 million (PS8.14m) in damages compensatory.

The judge also ordered that he be awarded $5 million (PS1.22m) as punitive damages. However, this has been reduced to $350,000 by the court (PS285,000).

In the sensational trial on television during the trial, the couple shared shocking details about their marriage that was short that brought attention to the entire world.

Heard has also said she is planning to contest the verdict.

Judge Azcarate stated that, if Heard appeals her decision, she has to sign an unpaid bond amounting to $10.35m during the time that the appeal is still pending.

The order also states that each award is subject to an interest rate of 6% per annum.
